Call for entries danubeVIDEOARTfestival, March 2011, Grein, Austria (deadline: 1 December)

Media and video artists from all over the world are invited to submit their works for the danubeVIDEOARTfestival #1 that will be held in March 2011 in Stadtkino Grein (Upper Austria).

The main aim of danubeVIDEOARTfestival is to expand video art culture in Austria. It will present a selection of international video art and will include different categories like:

-short film

-narrative

-experimental

-animation

-performance

-documentary

The participant to danubeVIDEOARTfestival, agrees on the following:

There is no theme, but the work(s) must be defined as Videoart.

The duration of video works are maximum 10 minutes and have to be made after 1 January 2008.

All entries, maximum of 3 have to have an acceptable screening quality and be suitable to show as a single-channel projection.

The video must be submitted in DVD (PAL) format or video file. In the case of video file, it should not be bigger than 2 Gb and should be either in avi or mpeg format. The jury accepts only postal entries!

If there is dialogue in the video(s) and its not in English or German it must be subtitled.

Only entries with filled in and signed Entryformes will be accepted.

The work(s) will not be returned.

There is no entry fee and danubeVIDEOARTfestival cannot offer any payment for screened works.

Artist helds exclusive copyright on submitted videowork(s).

Agrees that danubeVIDEOARTfestival is allowed to use the work(s) for promoting and advertising purpose. Also agrees to let danubeVIDEOARTfestival keep a copy of the work(s) for a video archive to be used for other non-commercial screenings/events. The participant will be informed in advance.
