danceWEB scholarship programme 2011, 13 July to 17 August 2011, Vienna, Austria (deadline: 15 December)

The Scholarship Programme is a 5 week residency taking place every year in July – August in Vienna within the frame of ImPulsTanz festival. It offers around 65 young professional dancers and choreographers from mainly European but also from non European countries the possibility to take part in an intense multinational further training programme.

The danceWEB Scholarship Programme 2011 will take place from 13th July 13 to 17th August, 2011.

WHO can apply?
Dancers and choreographers with decidedly professional ambitions from European, Eastern European and non European countries preferably between 22 and 30 years of age and a good knowledge of English. The quality of your dance background is the main criteria for participation in the Programme.

* a detailed CV
* two recent photos (portrait & dance photo)
* 3 letters of recommendation in English

Please keep the size of the documents low, otherwise we might have problems receiving them.

The receipt of your application will be confirmed via e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail a few days after the deadline, please contact our office to verify that your application has been received.

Incomplete or late applications as well as applications via e-mail, post or fax will not be considered!

WHEN to apply?

* Selection process: January – February 2011
* Final decision: March 2011
* Programme dates: July 13 – August 17, 2011
Participation for a shorter term is not possible!
* Follow up: written report untill October 31st

A scholarship includes the following free services:

* Individual coaching by the artistic mentors
* Participation in the research projects of ProSeries
* Participation in the research projects of CoachingProject
* Participation in the workshops of ImPulsTanz (200 seminars by 90 teachers)
* Admission to all (up to 45) performances of ImPulsTanz
* Access to approx. 250 awarded dance film videos available at the IMZ
(Internationales Musikzentrum, Wien) video library
* Exchange of ideas and contact with international trainers and choreographers
* Lecture demonstrations
* Special projects exclusively offered to scholarship holders
* Connection to and presentation of a yearly growing, international database
* Accommodation in Vienna for the period of the Scholarship Programme

Over 650 young professional dancers and choreographers from over 70 countries have been part of this programme since its creation in 1996.
