O Rumo do Fumo e o Forum Dança iniciam, em 2010, um novo programa de residências de criação- RESIDÊNCIAS NO EDIFÍCIO.
A recente mudança para o novo espaço em Alcântara, o EDIFÍCIO, permite que se configurem novas formas de apoio à criação, dando especial atenção aos artistas
emergentes.
Assim, para a primeira edição deste programa, serão apoiados quatro projectos de criação na área da dança e/ou performance.

Forum Dança and O Rumo do Fumo introduce, in 2010, a new residence programme for creation projects – RESIDÊNCIAS NO EDIFÍCIO.
The recent move to the new location in Alcântara, EDIFÍCIO, allows the configuration of new ways of supporting the artistic creation, specifically
to emerging artists.
Therefore, our proposal for this first edition is to support four dance and/or performance creation projects.

Elegibilidade do projecto

- O projecto deverá ser apresentado por um artista/estrutura emergente (que tenha no máximo 3 trabalhos apresentados em contexto profissional);
- O projecto deverá ser um trabalho original, em fase de criação e ainda não estreado.

Sobre as residências
Apoio a quatro projectos seleccionados pelo Forum Dança e O Rumo do Fumo.

Períodos de residência:

Residência 1: 2 de Agosto a 12 Setembro no Estúdio 1
Residência 2: 2 de Agosto a 12 Setembro no Estúdio 2
Residência 3: 16 de Agosto a 12 de setembro no Estúdio 3
Residência 4: 4 de Outubro a 14 de Novembro no Estúdio 2

- Bolsa de apoio à produção no valor de 1.000 € (+ ajudas de custo para alojamento e alimentação no valor 500€ para não residentes em Lisboa) para as residências de 1 mês (residência 3) por projecto e 1.500€ (+ ajudas de custo para alojamento e alimentação no valor 750€ para não residentes em Lisboa) para as residências de 1,5 mês (residência 1, 2 e 4) por projecto

- Acompanhamento artístico aos projectos com encontros semanais

- Apoio à divulgação do projecto: e-mailings para base de dados (1500 contactos, na área da dança e artes performativas, portugueses e estrangeiros); impressão de 50 cartazes A3 a preto/branco; menção destacada nos sites www.orumodofumo.com e www.forumdanca.pt

- Aconselhamento de produção (sessões num total de 4h a serem marcada durante o período de residência)

- A organização das viagens, alojamento e assistência médica durante o período das residências fica a cargo dos participantes.

Estúdio 1
- 150 m2 com linóleo preto
- Sistema audio: 2 colunas amplificadas, mesa de mistura com entrada para 3 microfones, leitor de CD (compatível com MP3)
- Sistema de imagem: leitor de DVD, televisão. Projector datashow (computador não disponível)

Estúdio 2
- 100 m2 com linóleo preto
- Sistema audio: 2 colunas amplificadas, mesa de mistura
- Sistema de imagem: leitor de DVD, televisão.

Estúdio 3
- 75 m2 com linóleo preto
- Sistema de som: 2 colunas, leitor de CD/DVD, amplificador
- Sistema de imagem: leitor de DVD, televisão. Projector datashow (computador não disponível)

Instalações
- Espaço para refeições equipado com microondas e frigorífico
- Balneários com WC e duche quente
- Centro de Documentação especializado
- Sala de aula teórica mediante marcação
- Acesso à Internet sem fios
- Computador e impressora disponível para trabalho de produção

Condições

- Apresentação pública final, no espaço da residência, no formato de mostra, conversa e/ou workshop no dia 6 de Setembro para as residências 1, 2 e
3 e dia 8 de Novembro para a residência 4
- Ensaio aberto, no âmbito do Edifício, no dia 10 de Setembro para as residências 1, 2 e 3 e dia 12 de Novembro para a residência 4
- Menção do Forum Dança e O Rumo do Fumo/Edifício como Apoio à Criação
- Inserção do logótipo do Forum Dança, O Rumo do Fumo e Edifício em todo o material de promoção do projecto
- Disponibilização de obras do artista e/ou colaboradores para o Centro de Documentação do Edifício.

Resultados Os projectos seleccionados serão anunciados até dia 31 de Março 2010, por e-mail a todos os candidatos.

Os artistas em residência devem cumprir as regras de saúde e segurança do Edifício, enquanto se encontrarem nas suas instalações.

About the residences

Four residences projects selected by Forum Dança and O Rumo doFumo.

Residences calendar:

Residence 1: 2 August to 12 September at Studio 1

Residence 2: 2 August to 12 September at Studio 2

Residence 3: 16 August to 12 September at Studio 3

Residence 4: 4 October to 14 November at Studio 2

- Grant of € 1.000 (+ accommodation and food support of €500 for non Lisbon residents) for a period of 1 month residence (residence 3) by project, and €1.500 (+ accommodation and food support of €750 for non Lisbon residents) for a period of 1,5 month residence (residence 1, 2 and 4) by project.

- Artistic support to the projects through a weekly meeting

- Promoting support, by e-mailing (1500 contacts, in dance and performing arts area, Portuguese and foreign countries); printing of 50 posters A3 international size black/white; reference in the Websites www.orumodofumo.com and www.forumdanca.pt

- Consulting in executive production (sessions in a total of 4h to be booked during the residency)

- Travel, accommodation and health care coverage are assured by the participants.

DanceWeb European Scholarship Programme for Contemporary Dance

The Scholarship Programme offers around 65 young professional dancers and choreographers from mainly European but also from non European countries the possibility to take part in an intense multinational further training programme. The Programme is a 5 week residency taking place every year in July – August in Vienna within the
frame of ImPulsTanz festival.

The programme focuses on the exchange of ideas and knowledge, not limited by national borders, on concentrated further training, on meeting with internationally renowned artists gathering in Vienna at ImPulsTanz with the aim to orient the career of the participants.

Participants:

dancers and choreographers with decidedly professional ambitions from European, Eastern European and non European countries,
preferably between 22 and 28 years of age
a good knowledge of English

The quality of the dance background is the main criteria for participation in danceWEB.

Depending on the available sources of financing, 1 or 2 participants per country are selected from
countries of the European Union. In addition, a total of 15-20 participants from Central and Eastern European countries as well as a small number from other regions of the world (Africa, South-East Asia, North/South America, Australia) are selected each year.

Deadline for participation: 15 December 2009.

CONVOCATORIA RESIDENCIAS 2010 DE LA CALDERA

La caldera abre la convocatoria a su programa de residencias caldera-residencias 2010.

El objetivo es acoger a diversos artistas de las artes escénicas de ámbito nacional e internacional, con diferentes edades y trayectorias, para trabajar en nuestro espacio durante el periodo 2010.

Los proyectos pueden estar dirigidos tanto a la creación/producción como a la investigación/ pensamiento.

La selección de los artistas la realizará una comisión formada por miembros de la Caldera y profesionales externos.

Restos, rastos e traços: Práticas de documentação na criação contemporânea

Procuram-se propostas para projectos originais, a realizar no âmbito de 5 residências artísticas de investigação e de experimentação, que abordem em termos reflexivos e práticos o tema da “documentação” enquanto prática artística.

Cada residência tem uma duração de 2 meses, em regime não necessariamente contínuo.

Os resultados das investigações e experimentações desenvolvidas serão apresentados publicamente no âmbito da programação do atelier real.

Os projectos seleccionados beneficiarão de um apoio financeiro de 2.000€ e de condições logísticas: espaço de trabalho, equipamento técnico e alojamento (caso seja necessário).

As candidaturas estão abertas às propostas de todos os interessados: artistas, espectadores, curadores, teóricos…

O dossier de candidatura deve incluir:

- uma descrição do projecto (objectivos e modalidades)

- nota biográfica do(s) autor(es) do projecto

- outros elementos pertinentes para a apreciação do projecto

Open Call / Residencies 2010 – Germany

Open Call : Residencies from January to June 2010 at Pact Zollveren, Essen – Germany

PACT Zollverein runs a residency programme, for the development and realisation of projects and productions, which is open to professional artists from Germany and abroad, working in the fields of dance, performance or media art. Awarded twice yearly by a jury, residencies provide artists with rehearsal space and local accommodation. By arrangement and subject to requirement, PACT Zollverein also offers its residents technical support and advisory assistance with press and public relations and dramaturgy.

The closing date for applications is June 15th 2009 (post-marked).

A residency can incorporate the following:
- Studio space (from 63 to 173 sqm)
- Technical stage rehearsals (with technical supervision and support)
- Daily professional open class
- Local accommodation
- Specialist advice in: project funding, project management, press and public relations
A residency project will not necessarily have a public showing.

Applications must include:
- the completed application form
- a short letter of motivation
- a project description
- a 10 line summary of your project description
- curriculum vitae for everyone involved in the project
- 1 DVD/CD-ROM of your own work
