Es tracta sovint de confrontar aquests poemes inspiradors amb motius musicals \u201caut\u00f2noms\u201d que interactuant amb el poema creen can\u00e7ons, entenent can\u00e7\u00f3 com a m\u00fasica amb veu i lletra i no com a g\u00e8nere. Canvis vells s\u2019inspira musicalment en fonts molt diverses. Most of the time \u201ccanvis vells\u201d confronts these inspirating poems to \u201cautonom\u201d musical themes that interact with the poems creating songs, understanding song as music with voice and lyrics and not as a genre. \u201cCanvis vells\u201d inspirate in very different sources.
