Call for application – deadline 31th December 2010

“ECCE PERFORMER” is a training and creative program for artists in performing arts including a specific reasearch in dramathurgy.

The project is addressed to young artists and students interested in an intensive and creative experience in the field of performing arts.

in 2010/2011 edition the project will be directed by  Elvira Frosini / Kataklisma, with an intensive training program from january to march 2011, and will also include two workshop with other artists of italian contemporary landscape.
The dramathurgy section will be tutored by Attilio Scarpellini.

The selected artists will participate to:

-an intensive training/experimental program with Kataklisma from January to March 2011
–two workshop with Daria Deflorian e con Fabrizio Arcuri/accademia degli artefatti, two artists/companies of italian contemporary landscape
-a process of exploration and creation in dramathurgy
-special master classes with journalists (Antonio Audino, Graziano Graziani, Sergio Lo Gatto) and University Professors (Roberto Ciancarelli, Donatella Orecchia, Gilberto Scaramuzzo), and a master class on communication and organizative skills for artistic production with Debora Pietrobono.
-a special public event presenting the realized work emerging from the project

Working language: Italian

The cost of the program is free for the selected participants
The participants must garantee the presence to the whole project.

PARTICIPATION

The call is addressed to artists and writers (dramathurgy) and/or students in theatre and dance.
There is no age limit, but will be preferred artists under 35 years old.

NOF – NUEVAS FORMAS ESCÉNICAS AYUDA A LA JOVEN CREACIÓN CONTEMPORÁNEA

Escena Poblenou es un festival multidisciplinar de escena contemporánea que pretende potenciar las disciplinas de danza, circo, clown, teatro visual, teatro físico, performances y teatro de calle.

El festival apoya a los creadores contemporáneos que buscan generar nuevas formas escénicas, nuevos lenguajes y diferentes maneras de relación con espacios no convencionales.

Escena Poblenou convoca por tercera vez el NOF – NUEVAS FORMAS ESCÉNICAS, ayuda a la Joven Creación Contemporánea.

Bases:

1. Podrán optar las compañías y los creadores y creadoras que presenten una propuesta de acuerdo con estas bases. El proyecto puede ser tanto de calle como de sala; debe ser original e inédito y no estrenado en Catalunya.

2. Es necesario hacer llegar a la organización 1 copia del proyecto en formato digital, en la cual debe constar: objetivos, propuesta de puesta en escena, trayectoria del creador / creadora, calendario de producción y coste aproximado de la producción.
También podrán añadir toda la documentación adicional que crean conveniente incluir para facilitar la valoración del proyecto.

3. La dirección artística del Festival y una comisión de profesionales de las artes escénicas valorara los siguientes aspectos para la selección de los proyectos:

  1. -Propuestas donde haya implícita una investigación y una voluntad de crear nuevas formas escénicas.
  2. -Propuestas inéditas
  3. -La viabilidad de los proyectos.

4. La dirección artística de Escena Poblenou junto con una comisión de profesionales escogerán 1 o 2 proyectos de creación artística, tanto de calle como de sala o espacios no convencionales.

Los trabajos seleccionados recibirán:

  1. -4.000€ en concepto de ayuda a la producción.
  2. -Un espacio de residencia durante el primer semestre del 2011.
  3. -La posibilidad de mostrar su trabajo dentro del marco del Festival Escena Poblenou, en octubre de 2011.

5. La organización asignará una persona responsable del seguimiento de la producción.

6. La dirección artística se reserva el derecho de programar los trabajos seleccionados.

7. Los proyectos seleccionados deberán hacer constar el logo de Escena Poblenou en todo el material promocional que generen.

8. Las propuestas se han de enviar hasta el 10 de enero de 2011, en un sobre cerrado a:

Ten years of ANTI: it’s time to REMAKE, REBUILD, RENEW!

Celebrate a decade of ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival: 27th of September to 2nd of October 2011, Kuopio, Finland.

This is an open call to artists to propose a site-specific project for the 2011 ANTI Festival. We ask you to respond to the following theme:
REMAKE, REBUILD, RENEW

With economic, ecological and social change underway across the world, due in part to the financial crisis, we are challenged by the impact this process may have on our daily lives. Of course there has perhaps not been a time when this has not been the case but today that process could be seen to be accelerating. Governments and councils are involved in a dramatic remaking of financial and political structures – something soon to be felt in Kuopio. Around us environments are rapidly changing, be that by the rebuilding of urban environments (Kuopio’s market square is a case in point) or by our use of the world’s natural resources. In response we are asked to change, to re-imagine our everyday lives. Whether our response is positive, negative or neither it is a process that might well define our age.

For ten years ANTI has re-imagined the public and private spaces of Kuopio. Festival projects have reconfigured the everyday places of the city, asking us to rethink them, re-imagine and re-approach our relationship to the world around us. It’s that process that we’ll concentrate on for this 10th edition of the festival. Possible points of departure for your project might be:

How do you rebuild and remake in your creative practice?
What does it mean to re-imagine a previously made project?
What does it mean to revisit and re-imagine a known space?
How is change celebrated?
How is changed resisted?
How does the city effectively renew itself and what role might creative activity play in this?

All projects at ANTI are shown in the public space, and all have an integral relationship to space in which they occur. All forms of work are welcome.

FIRATÀRREGA ABRE LA CONVOCATORIA DEL LABORATORIO DE CREACIÓN 2011

Está destinado a jóvenes creadores interesados en las producciones de calle y está dotado con 3.000 euros, una residencia creativa en Tàrrega y el estreno del espectáculo en la Fira.

FiraTàrrega abre por cuarto año consecutivo la convocatoria del Laboratorio de Creación.

Se trata de una línea de apoyo que impulsa la Fira con el objetivo de contribuir a la producción de espectáculos de calle y va destinada a jóvenes creadores con residencia administrativa en Catalunya interesados en la producción de un espectáculo en un escenario urbano.

Las compañías o creadores que quieran participar tienen que enviar a la Fira, antes del 15 de enero de 2011, un dossier explicativo con su proyecto artístico.

El proyecto ganador de esta convocatoria recibirá una ayuda económica de 3.000 euros y podrá realizar en Tàrrega una residencia creativa durante un período máximo de 3 semanas con todo el apoyo logístico, operativo, técnico y promocional de todos los departamentos organizativos de la Fira. Además, la obra se estrenará dentro la Programación Oficial de FiraTàrrega 2011.

Media and video artists from all over the world are invited to submit their works for the danubeVIDEOARTfestival #1 that will be held in March 2011 in Stadtkino Grein (Upper Austria).

The main aim of danubeVIDEOARTfestival is to expand video art culture in Austria. It will present a selection of international video art and will include different categories like:

-short film

-narrative

-experimental

-animation

-performance

-documentary

The participant to danubeVIDEOARTfestival, agrees on the following:

There is no theme, but the work(s) must be defined as Videoart.

The duration of video works are maximum 10 minutes and have to be made after 1 January 2008.

All entries, maximum of 3 have to have an acceptable screening quality and be suitable to show as a single-channel projection.

The video must be submitted in DVD (PAL) format or video file. In the case of video file, it should not be bigger than 2 Gb and should be either in avi or mpeg format. The jury accepts only postal entries!

If there is dialogue in the video(s) and its not in English or German it must be subtitled.

Only entries with filled in and signed Entryformes will be accepted.

Please also send the filled entryform with 2 video stills (.jpeg) and optional informations to: danubevideoartfestival@gmail.com

The work(s) will not be returned.

There is no entry fee and danubeVIDEOARTfestival cannot offer any payment for screened works.

Artist helds exclusive copyright on submitted videowork(s).

Agrees that danubeVIDEOARTfestival is allowed to use the work(s) for promoting and advertising purpose. Also agrees to let danubeVIDEOARTfestival keep a copy of the work(s) for a video archive to be used for other non-commercial screenings/events. The participant will be informed in advance.

danceWEB scholarship programme 2011, 13 July to 17 August 2011, Vienna, Austria (deadline: 15 December)

The Scholarship Programme is a 5 week residency taking place every year in July – August in Vienna within the frame of ImPulsTanz festival. It offers around 65 young professional dancers and choreographers from mainly European but also from non European countries the possibility to take part in an intense multinational further training programme.

The danceWEB Scholarship Programme 2011 will take place from 13th July 13 to 17th August, 2011.

WHO can apply?
Dancers and choreographers with decidedly professional ambitions from European, Eastern European and non European countries preferably between 22 and 30 years of age and a good knowledge of English. The quality of your dance background is the main criteria for participation in the Programme.
