Obrim la convocatòria per participar al LAB que NU2’S organitza cada any a l’Animal a l’esquena. Enguany el punt de partida des del que desenvoluparem les sessions de treball, de pensament i de recerca és:

Convocatòria pública




Si estas preparant un projecte escènic amb una important presencia d’imatges; si penses en una instal·lació; si vols realitzar una obra de videodansa o un documental… t’oferim la possibilitat de compartir idees, conèixer la gran diversitat de càmeres i sistemes de gravació que actualment ofereix el mercat i adaptar idea i forma al perquè i com és presentarà l’obra. Ens acompanyaran un grup d’artistes amb diversitat d’experiències i tindrem a la nostra disposició càmeres, equips de projecció, tecnòlegs, espai i temps per desenvolupar el projecte.

Les places són molt limitades. Necessitem que ens envieu un petit dossier amb la vostre bio i el projecte en el que esteu treballant/pensant a l’adreça de correu electrònic info@nu2s.org .
El laboratori és gratuït però teniu que fer una inscripció de 90€ per cobrir les despeses de manutenció del migdia. Per les persones que no visquin a les comarques gironines hem previst allotjament en cases rurals.

Convocatoria pública

Si estas preparando un proyecto escénico con una importante presencia de imágenes; si piensas en una instalación; si quieres realizar una obra de videodanza o un documental… te ofrecemos la posibilidad de compartir ideas, conocer la gran diversidad de cámaras y sistemas de grabación que actualmente ofrece el mercado y adaptar idea y forma al por qué y cómo se presentará la obra.

Nos acompañarán un grupo de artistas con diversidad de experiencias y tendremos a nuestra disposición cámaras, equipos de proyección, tecnólogos, espacio y tiempo para desarrollar el proyecto.

Las plazas son muy limitadas. Necesitamos que nos envieis un pequeño dossier con vuestra bio y el proyecto en el que estéis trabajando/ pensando a la dirección de correo electrónico info@nu2s.org. El
laboratorio es gratuito pero tenéis que hacer una inscripción de 90 euros para cubrir los gastos de manutención del mediodía. Para las personas que no vivan en las comarcas gironinas hemos previsto
alojamiento en casas rurales.

Public call for entries

If you are preparing a scenic proyect with an important images presence; if you are thinking in a installation; if you want to create a dance film work or a documental film… we offer the possibility of share ideas, know the big diversity of recording ways that the market offers actually and to adapt idea and forms to the reason and the way the work will be presented.

A group of artists with a lot of experience’s diversity will be with us and we will have in our disposition cameras, projection equipment, thecnicians, space and time to develope your proyect.

The places are very limited. We will need to receive a short dossier with your bio and the proyect which you are working/thinking at the email info@nu2s.org. The lab is free but you have to do an inscription of 90 euros to cover the lunch meals expenses. For the people not living at Girona we have planned accomodation at rural houses.

Convocatoria CALDERA OBERT (hasta 08/10/10)

Tens una proposta arriscada, innovadora, agosarada? Té com a eix central el cos, el moviment i les arts escèniques contemporànies? Tens una proposta per a un espai escènic no convencional on el públic pot estar en qualsevol lloc de la sala? vols provar què passa quan no hi ha separació  espacial entre l’intèrpret i el públic en el sentit més clàssic? Vols jugar alguna proposta en un espai polivalent a quatre bandes? Arrisca’t! Juga! Experimenta!

La Caldera ofereix a tots els professionals de les arts escèniques un espai on poder mostrar les seves propostes al públic amb un mínim d’estructura tècnica. En aquesta edició, busquem propostes d’un màxim de 20′ per a espai diàfan (no hi haurà seients i el públic podrà estar on vosaltres decidiu: a terra, circulant o dret en algun lloc de la sala).

Sis d’aquestes propostes es presentaran els dies 6 i 7 de Novembre a la sala 0 de la Caldera.

Bases

Per participar al CalderaOBERT cal imprimir aquest document degudament omplert, respectant els espais adjudicats per a cada apartat, i fer-ho arribar personalment o per correu certificat a La caldera amb el material adjunt que  es sol·licita. No grapeu ni enquaderneu el plec de fulls.

El termini per a la recepció de les propostes acaba el dia 8 d’Octubre del 2010 a les 13h. Per les sol·licituds rebudes via correu, es consideraran les propostes enviades fins el dia 1 d’octubre del 2010 (És imprescindible que envieu escanejat el resguard de la certificació de correus via email a info@lacaldera.info)

La proposta no pot durar més de 20 minuts i es treballarà sobre un plànol de llum general compartit amb la possibilitat d’afegir algun efecte  especial. Els participants es fan càrrec de totes les despeses que puguin generar les seves propostes (desplaçaments, dietes, fungible, etc.).

Amb la fitxa de sol·licitud, no t’oblidis d’adjuntar la fitxa artística i els CV dels participants: trets més rellevants a nivell de formació i experiència professional. [màxim 1/2 pàgina per persona] i el DVD de la peça si el teniu o material de vídeo d’alguna peça anterior.

Resolucions

Les resolucions es comunicaran a partir del dia 15 d’octubre 2010. Farem una trobada amb  les persones seleccionades per parlar dels requeriments específics per a la seva presentació.  Només us demanem disponibilitat i flexibilitat durant la mateixa setmana de les presentacions (de l’1 al 7 de Novembre) pels assajos tècnics i generals. Als seleccionats, un cop estigui resolta la convocatòria se’ls hi demanarà que facilitin la fitxa del projecte en format digital i se’ls hi regalarà una còpia en dvd de la funció.

¿Tienes una propuesta arriesgada, innovadora, atrevida? ¿Tiene como eje central el cuerpo, el movimiento y las artes escénicas contemporáneas? Tiene una propuesta para un espacio escénico no convencional donde el público puede estar en cualquier lugar de la sala? ¿Quieres probar que pasa cuando no hay separación  espacial entre el intérprete y el público en el sentido más clásico? Quieres jugar alguna propuesta en un espacio polivalente a cuatro lados? Arriésgate! Juega! Experimenta!

La Caldera ofrece a todos los profesionales de las artes escénicas un espacio donde poder mostrar sus propuestas al público con un mínimo de estructura técnica. En esta edición, buscamos propuestas de un máximo de 20′ para espacio diáfano (no habrá asientos y el público podrá estar donde vosotros  decidáis: en el suelo, circulando o en pie en algún sitio de la sala).

Seis de estas propuestas se presentarán los días 6 y 7 de Noviembre en la sala 0 de la Caldera.

Bases

Para participar en el CalderaOBERT es necesario imprimir este documento debidamente rellenado, respetando los espacios adjudicados para cada apartado, y traerlo personalmente o por correo certificado a La caldera con el material adjunto que  se solicita. No grapéis ni enquadernéis las hojas.

El terminio para la recepción de las propuestas termina el día 8 de Octubre del 2010 a las 13h. Para las solicitudes recibidas vía correo postal, se considerarán las propuestas enviadas hasta el día 1 de Octubre del 2010 (Es imprescindible que mandéis escaneado el resguardo de la certificación de correos vía email a info@lacaldera.info)

La propuesta no puede durar más de 20 minutos y se trabajará sobre un plano de luces general compartido con la posibilidad de añadir algún efecto  especial. Los participantes se responsabilizan de todos los gastos que puedan generar sus propuestas (desplazamientos, dietas, fungible, etc.).

Resoluciones

Las resoluciones se comunicarán a partir del día 15 de Octubre 2010. Haremos un encuentro con las personas seleccionadas para hablar de las necesidades específicos para su presentación.

Os pedimos disponibilidad y flexibilidad durante la misma semana de las presentaciones (del 1 al 7 de Noviembre) para los ensayos técnicos y generales.

A los seleccionados, una vez se hay hecho público el fallo se les pedirá que faciliten la ficha del proyecto en formato digital.

15th International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival 2011, Stuttgart, Germany (deadline: 11 November)

The application procedure for the 15th International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart is open until November 11th 2010 for young dancers and contemporary choreographers to apply with their latest productions.

The online formulary for registration can be found on the homepage of TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz

In this webform applicants should give some information about their education, engagements and mainly about their piece and its intention.

After the deadline a pre-jury selects participants who will perform their productions between march 17th and 20th 2010 in front of the jury and the audience. The jury awards altogether six prizes, three for each of the two categories “choreography” and “dance”. The 1st prizes are awarded with € 3.500,- each, 2nd prizes with € 2.500,- each and the 3rd prizes with € 1.500,- each.

Sogni is looking for young, professional choreographers who want to present their work during the 3rd edition of Rêverie to take place 20-22 May 2011 in Ghent.

Sogni is looking for:

1.Choreographers who want to present their own qualitative work to the audience. Choreographers who participated already in one of the previous editions of Rêverie, are allowed to apply again. But they will not be selected more than twice.

2.One choreographer (living in Belgium) for a residency in Ghent. Do you have an interesting idea, but you haven’t got the chance to work on it? Maybe the residency is a chance for you. Create your idea and present your work during Rêverie 2011. The residency includes rehearsal space (1 month), coaching, feedback.

3.Site-specific work. During Rêverie 2011, extra attention will go to site-specific work. Get the chance to perform your work in the historical center of Ghent.

About the Exhibition:
TPS Reports: Performance Documents is an exhibition of the “stuff” that results from performances: detritus, photographs, drawings, sculptures, videos, etc.  We are not interested in the documentation of the performance itself, just the results. We are mostly looking for the items that were made as the primary goal of the performance.

About The Theme:
How does this stuff live on after the performance? Is it possible or necessary to understand the performance based on what is created through it?

Eligibility:
Open to all artists worldwide.  Work is limited in size to no more than 1x1x1 meter.

How to Submit Your Work:
Please submit the following items in one email to tpsreports@spacecampgallery.com

1.    Up to 5 artworks
a.    You may include up to 3 views of detailed or 3D work)
b.    JPG or PDF for non-moving work
c.    MP4, WMA, or Quicktime for video or other time based work
2.    Artist Statement about the work
3.    Artist Biography, 3rd person
4.    Artist Resume or CV
5.    Image List including size, media, date, and sale price (if for sale)
6.    List of special instructions/requirements for installation

  • Please include your name in each file title (i.e. Jane Doe, Resume.doc)
  • Messages are limited to 25MB
  • Links are acceptable for large video files
  • All documents must be in either Word or PDF format.
  • Any accepted work may be used in promotional materials such as show cards or on the website.

Review and Selection:
Work will be reviewed by the curator. Artists will be contacted by November 15, 2010 and informed what works are selected for the exhibition.  Work will be due to the gallery by January 15, 2011.

Costs:
There is no submission fee to enter or participate, but artists are responsible for shipping both directions.
Artists will receive 70% of the sale price for anything sold during the show.

About the Location:
SpaceCamp MicroGallery is a small contemporary arts gallery located in the Murphy Arts Building in Indianapolis, Indiana. SpaceCamp is dedicated to bringing small (size wise) but large (idea wise) national and international art to Indianapolis. The co-gallerists are Flounder Lee, Paul Miller, and Kurt Nettleton. http://www.spacecampgallery.com

The Murphy is a collection of galleries, studios, and restaurants. It is also the temporary home of the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. The Murphy and SpaceCamp are located in the Fountain Square Arts District near Downtown Indianapolis.

About the Curator:
Flounder Lee is an artist/curator/educator living in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has curated several recent shows such as Double Vision: A Dual Channel Video Festival and One Performative Night.
He is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI. He received his BFA from the University of Florida and his MFA from California State University Long Beach.

SE ABRE LA CONVOCATORIA DE RESIDENCIAS DE CREACIÓN EN FIRATÀRREGA 2010-2011

FiraTàrrega abre la convocatoria para que las compañías de artes escénicas puedan solicitar una residencia creativa en Tàrrega. Las residencias seleccionadas se realizarán entre octubre de 2010 y junio de 2011. Las compañías interesadas, deben presentar sus solicitudes a la Fira.

Las residencias creativas de FiraTàrrega

FiraTàrrega tiene una clara voluntad de incidir en la producción catalana de espectáculos de calle. Per este motivo ofrece su apoyo a los creadores interesados en la creación en espacios abiertos a través de las Residencias creativas. Con estas residencias, FiraTàrrega pone toda su experiencia a disposición de las compañías y las acompaña en un asesoramiento global (presupuestario, administrativo, artístico, técnico, etc.).

También se ponen a disposición de las compañías las infraestructuras: un gran espacio de ensayo para trabajar las creaciones, alojamiento con más de 60 plazas, salas de ensayo sonoro, además de las oficinas de FiraTàrrega para realizar tareas administrativas.

La Fira también facilita el alojamiento de la compañía en residencia

Por otra parte, la Fira también ofrece su apoyo a la explotación de la producción resultante, con la posibilidad de inclusión de la propuesta en la programación oficial, la organización de ensayos abiertos, presencia de la compañía en La Llotja de FiraTàrrega,  así como el apoyo en comunicación y prensa.

Las compañías interesadas deben presentar:

– Proyecto detallado de la producción para la cual  se solicita residencia.
– Necesidades técnicas y logísticas de la compañía durante la residencia (Número de personas, propuesta de fechas de la residencia, planificación de las fases de la residencia, posibles ensayos abiertos y talleres…).

En caso de que el proyecto resulte seleccionado, FiraTàrrega reservará las fechas y coordinará la residencia de manera conjunta con la compañía.

Performance Festival Zurich

stromereien Peformance Festival Zurich offers current trends in situational* performance art a unique platform in Zurich.

* situational = pertaining or referring to a specific situation

stromereien 11 will take place from the 3rd to the 12th of August 2011 and will explore the River Limmat as an artery and a corridor through the city. The Limmat not only traverses and dissects different parts of the city – social, cultural, architectural, economical, historical and subjective realities of Zurich are formed and opened by the river.

The artists can choose their place / space / situation from the areas along the River Limmat or the adjacent districts. The submitted projects should be characterised by an open or restrained passion for exploring the city environment and the river. The performers should function as temporary bridge builders, using their artistic practice to expand the perception of the city’s realities, and should encourage and persuade the audience / passers by to think and to act.

A project for stromereien 11 can be visual, acoustic, movement-based, an installation, conception, participative etc. It must be a live event. The technical time and effort should be kept at a minimum, allowing the emphasis of presence
and action.

ELIGIBILITY / REQUIREMENTS

·   A performance may last no longer than 30 minutes. This does not include installations or participative works that rely on a different form of presentation.

·   A project proposal comprises:

– completed application form (download www.stromereien.ch)

– project description (max. 2 A4-pages)

– Short CVs for all participating artists (max. ¼ A4-page per artist)

– documentation of previous relevant work (Text, Videos, Images etc.)

·   Project proposals will not be returned.

·   All applicants will be notified of the decision by the middle of December 2010.

·   Application Deadline: Friday 19th November 2010

Produced by Buddies in Bad Times Theatre for over 30 years, the Rhubarb Festival has offered artists a critic-free environment to experiment with new explorations in performance. Rhubarb continuously reconsiders the possibilities for performance – how we create it, how we present it and how we experience it. It is an invitation for artists to take risks, investigate new directions and challenge conventions. It is an opportunity for adventurous audiences to journey off predictable paths. Rhubarb provides artists with a rare opportunity to present work to a large and enthusiastic audience. Many Rhubarb shows have gone on to be further developed and presented in Toronto, across Canada and internationally.

GENERAL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: 5PM, Tuesday August 17, 2010

Rhubarb seeks proposals for new, not previously produced performances (30 minutes or less) for the 32nd Annual Rhubarb Festival. Submissions are encouraged from both established and emerging artists working in the areas of contemporary theatre, performance art, dance, music, interdisciplinary and hybrid forms. Of particular interest are projects, approaches and ideas that are new territory for the artist and the medium.

Selected projects will be featured during the festival (Feb. 16-27, 2011) and will receive technical, production, administrative, promotional and artistic support. Invited companies will have the opportunity to access free rehearsal space leading up to Rhubarb. In addition to an honorarium, festival artists also receive an unlimited artist pass, allowing them to see work for free by local, national and international artists over the course of two weeks.

DEADLINE: 5PM, Monday August 30, 2010
Building on the culture of club nights at Buddies, Rhubarb invites DJs and musicians who venture into new and experimental territory of music performance (especially those working in live mixing and sampling) to submit proposals. This may include DJs/ electronic artists collaborating with animators, new media artists, choreographers, etc. to create a short set. Other possibilities include musicians working with non-traditional equipment and instruments (i.e. kitchen appliances, video game consoles, found objects, bicycle powered amps, etc.). Of special interest are proposals that not only suggest experimentation with the instruments themselves, but also consider aspects of the music in relation to staging, conceptual meaning, story and/ or form.

MOBILE WORKS
DEADLINE: 5PM, Monday August 30, 2010
Taking the Rhubarb experience outside the walls of Buddies, the festival invites proposals for works that begin elsewhere and converge at Buddies (12 Alexander Street, Toronto). Performance interventions, performances on the subway, flash mobs, etc. that eventually end at Buddies are encouraged. Participatory projects and online performances that are developed in the lead up to Rhubarb and culminate in another form of presentation at Buddies are also welcome. The proposal should take into consideration not only the festival audiences but also the general public, unsuspecting and accidental audiences who may stumble upon or intersect with the work.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Only submissions delivered by or post-marked by the deadline dates will be accepted. Works submitted must be new and original. Submissions must be submitted in hard copy only and must be accompanied by the 2011 Rhubarb Festival Application Form (available online at www.buddiesinbadtimes.com)

and the $20 non-refundable reading fee (payable to: Buddies in Bad Times Theatre). Fax or email submissions will not be accepted and late submissions will not be considered.
