Live audition within Picnic Sessions in Móstoles CA2M on July 3th 2014.

In a previous audition (K_A op. 9)  a vinyl playback with the First of Brahms had failed. In this audition we retake the vinyl version directed by Celebidache, but the disc remains silent on the turntable, as we listen to the Youtube file of the Symphony conducted by Furtwängler in 1951, which Katsunori thinks one of the best versions of the work. Katsunori also speaks about the complex relationship between Furtwängler and the Berlin Philharmonic in the years of the Second World War and in the immediate postwar period, an about the emergence of Celebidache and the total change that marked the arrival of Karajan, the end of an epoch for classical music.
