"The Present" parla de la qualitat visible del cos per la seva qualitat d’imatge i per tot allò, absent a la imanta, a la que aquesta visibilitat fa referència. L’objecte d’aquesta investigació és el cos com a productor i suport d’imatges, el cos representat i el cos en l’acte de representar-se. Aquest és un treball conjunt. La idea de construir una peça a tres esdevé perquè volien experimentar la mirada aliena i que alhora, la tendència anara cap a diferents punts de vista. El resultat podrà ser contradictori, dispers, incoherent, fluix, superficial, oscil·lant o a lo millor no, potser només dispers i oscil·lant, o també potser el resultat sigui totalment inesperat, o simplement tan contemporani, o pot passar que per a una part de l’audiència sigui així però no per altres molts, o a lo millor el resultat no ens agrada o que ens agradi molt la primera part i la segona una mica menys. Arantxa Martínez va estudiar dansa clàssica i contemporània a Madrid i al Centre Coreogràfic de Montpellier. Els seu treballs en solitari són: “Al oeste del Pecos”, “A folk striptease in 4’ “ i “Trofeo”. A més a més, ha treballat i continua treballant amb altres artistes com: Juan Domínguez, Isabellel schad, Simone Aughterlony, Eszter Salamon, Velma… |
"The Present" habla de la cualidad visible del cuerpo, por su calidad de imagen y por todo aquello, ausente en la imagen, a lo que dicha visibilidad hace referencia. El objeto de esta investigación es el cuerpo como productor y soporte de imágenes, el cuerpo representado y el cuerpo en el acto de representarse. Este es un trabajo conjunto. La idea de construir una pieza a tres es debido a que querían experimentar la mirada ajena y que al mismo tiempo la tendencia fuera hacia diferentes puntos de vista. El resultado podrá ser contradictorio, disperso, incoherente, flojo, superficial, oscilante o a lo mejor no, puede ser que solo disperso y oscilante, o también puede ser que el resultado sea totalmente inesperado, o simplemente tan contemporáneo, o puede pasar que para una parte de la audiencia sea así pero no para otros muchos, o a lo mejor el resultado no gusta o no gusta mucho la primera parte y la segunda un poco más. Arantxa Martínez estudió danza clásica y contemporánea en Madrid y en el Centro Coreográfico de Montpellier. "The Present" puts its eyes on the visible part of the body, on its image quality and on all that is not present in the image, and that its look refers to. The object of this investigation is body as a producer and support for images, the body represented and the body during the act of representation. This is a collective work. Arantxa’s idea was to build a piece between the three of us that would experiment an outside look and that would bring up three points of view. The result could be a contradiction, imprecise, incoherent, not strong enough, superficial, changing. Or maybe not. Maybe just imprecise and changing. Or maybe totally unexpected or simply, so contemporary, or maybe for a part of the audience it may be but not for the other. Or maybe we won’t like the result or maybe we like the first part but not the second…. Arantxa Martínez studies classical and contemporary dance in Madrid and in the Choreographic Montpellier Centre. Her works in solitary are: “Al oeste del Pecos”, “A folk striptease in 4’ “ and “Trofeo”. She has worked and still works with other artists such as Juan Domínguez, Isabellel schad, Simone Aughterlony, Eszter Salamon or Velma. |
