The Pandora Project

TPP és una banda analògica que treballa en la relació entre pràctica i teoria que es retroalimenta continuament.
TPP navega entre diferents disciplines, no per a dominarles sinó utilitzant-les per a crear coses.
TPP utilitza normalment el joc de Pandora –un joc creat per nosaltres per a practicar i teoritzar la dansa.

TPP utilitza, i abusa, el coneixement existent de la dansa per a manipular-lo i crear alguna cosa nova.
TPP és una plataforma per a desenvolupar estratègies per a la pràctica pedagògica, d’investigació i escènica de manera interrelacionada.
TPP té com a objetiu principal oferir la possibilitat de pensar d’una altra manera celebrant el plaer de la dansa.

CONCERT #2

The Pandora Project fa públic el seu treball en el seus CONCERTS, on cantan danses i ballen cançons, utilitzant (i abusant) el coneixement de la dansa i la seva teoria per a crear-les. Apropiant-se del format de concert obren un espai de reacció immediata i un ambient distès que trenca amb les convencions tradicionals teatrals.

En cada Concert, TPP presenta un repertori de cançons diferents, antigues i noves, adaptant-se sempre al context específic on actuen, fins i tot invitant, a vegades, artistes locals a tocar amb ells.

TPP utiliza normalmente el juego de Pandora –un juego creado por nosotros para practicar y teorizar la danza.
TPP utiliza, y abusa, el conocimiento existente de la danza para manipularlo y crear algo nuevo.
TPP es una plataforma para desarrollar estrategias para la práctica pedagógica, de investigación y escénica de manera interrelacionada.
TPP tiene como objetivo principal ofrecer la posibilidad de pensar de otra manera celebrando el placer de la danza.

CONCERT #2

The Pandora Project hace público su trabajo en sus CONCERTS, donde cantan danzas y bailan canciones, utilizando (y abusando) el conocimiento de la danza y su teoría para crearlas. Apropiándose del formato de concierto abren un espacio de reacción inmediata y un ambiente relajado que rompe con las convenciones tradicionales teatrales.

En cada Concierto, TPP presenta un repertorio de canciones diferentes, antiguas y nuevas, adaptándose siempre al contexto específico donde actúan, e incluso a veces invitando otros artistas locales para que toquen con ellos.

TPP is an analogical band working on the continuous feedback between practice and theory.

TPP navigates through different disciplines, not to master them but using them to create things.

TPP departs usually from the game of Pandora –a self-created game to practice and theorize dance.

TPP uses, and abuses, existing dance knowledge to manipulate it and create something new.

TPP is a platform to develop strategies to practice pedagogy, research and performance always already interrelated.

TPP’s main goal is to offer to possibility to think otherwise by celebrating the joy of dance.

CONCERT #2

The Pandora Project makes the work public in their CONCERTS, where they sing dances and dance songs, using (and abusing) the knowledge of dance and its theory to create them. By appropriating the format of a concert they open up a space of immediate feedback and a relaxed atmosphere that breaks with the traditional conventions of theater.

In each Concert, TPP presents a different set of songs, old ones and new ones, always adapting to the specific context where TPP is playing, and sometimes inviting some guests to play along.
