TUTORIALS

I want to teach the world the things I know. I want them to see me. I want to share. I want to help. To be a celebrity. I don?t watch TV. We are TV. No barriers. No filters. No censorship. No sifting. No criteria. Free. Libre. Wait five seconds to skip the ad. Millions of hits, that?s a good thing. Three hits is rare, it?s special. Let the people decide. People are idiots.

I want to play

Years at the conservatory and master classes vs. free wifi and video tutorials. Those of us who are conservatorium-trained are slaves to the score. Those of you who are self-taught don't go past El Riki Riki.

I can play but I?m scared

It seems less embarrassing and less risky to post a video at home for a potential audience of 7 billion people than to act for seven people in a room.

I can play, I?m not scared, I want to improvise

I can learn to play anything now. I quickly get bored of everything I play. I get bored after 20 minutes at almost any concert. Look! A pair of shoes.

I can play anything, I?m not scared, I want to record

You don?t need middlemen. Do it yourself. Art for art?s sake. Take off and land as best you can.

I can record myself playing anything, I?m not scared, I want to experiment

You?ve done it all. You?ve barely started. Arty Party. Post it on Vimeo, Youtube is too mainstream.

I can record myself using sound to move all kinds of legumes, I?m not scared, I want to cash in

I don't do it for cash. I don?t care whether people like it, I like it. Have a job you love. Have a job so that you can do what you love later. Cash in, sell yourself, make a living, remain true to yourself. Like Fugazi. I don?t care.
