Along with Satyricon, this is the craziest film I?ve ever seen. Green fire, tripping astronauts, maps of the Warsaw Underground, ritual crucifixions? Somewhere between 2001 and Conan the Barbarian, by way of Jodorowsky?s Dune.
Capricci (Carmelo Bene 1969)
A love story between an octogenarian and a teenage girl. Carmelo Bene on Hallucinogenius! I finally managed to see it this year. Legendary and perverse.
L'Ordre (Jean Daniel Pollet 1973)
A very human (and terrible!) horror film. It makes me think of Alphaville, Alien, and spiritual paranoias like Lancelot du Lac. I?ve seen it more than once.
